Ecoscience Science Center & Luxury Lodge

The Ecoscience property is situated on the North-Eastern border of Tarangire National Park, 20 km South of the village of Makuyuni. At the Northern edge we built our luxurious boutique lodge and our science center. Ecoscience is set in a very fragile savannah environment, The lodge is designed by Spanish architect Maria Rodriguez-Carreño Villangomez. The architecture of luxury rooms and restaurant is based on the Maasai hut, in an original, modern and minimalistic version. There are only 6 large rooms of 60 sq.m each with a 30 sq.m terrace. Each room has a double bed, couch, wardrobe, office desk, and an en-suite bathroom. From every bed there is a spectacular view of Radilen hill, at the opposite side of the valley.

Under the magnificent shade trees, on the banks of a seasonal river in the remote southern sector of the Ruaha National Park, Jongomero is gloriously isolated. Far from the madding crowds, this secluded idyll offers a chance to discover true unadulterated wilderness.

Accommodation at Jongomero comprises eight large and well-appointed tented suites, built on raised wooden platforms, under enormous thatched roofs that also encompass a spacious private instant veranda which overlooks the riverbed. Snuggle under warming quilts in an eight-foot wide dhow wood emperor bed and fall asleep to the hum of Africa beyond the canvas and wake up to the morning tea tray and animals ambling past your mosquito net windows.

Located in the best wildlife area of the great Ruaha National Park, Kigelia Ruaha is a simple tented bushcamp offering all those creature comforts that you need while enjoying one of the best kept big game secrets in East Africa.

They only have six tents and it’s certainly not camping like you know it… no manicured lawns here! The tents are well furnished with locally crafted pale wood furniture and there’s a hot safari-style bucket shower under the stars (the showers are en-suite but outdoors), and a flush loo. One of the tents is the family tent which has two adjoining en-suite bedrooms.

the river area with its perennial vegetation and the dense green reed beds that attract birds and smaller wildlife species.
